I have never recieved unemployment before. I live in Illinois and my question is what kind of offenses will you have to make in the workplace and get fired for them and have the government deny you unemployment benefits. What if you apply and your old job fights it? Can you quit a job and get unemployment benefits? What happens with health insurance? Thanks.

your employer will challenge your claim if you quit. Should be easy to become inefficient enough to be fired. Also you probably could calm harassment of some sort. I think your former employer would offer "Cobra"(Health insurane) which you must pay for to get insurance for a time.

I quit my job because the job moved and I do not have transportation. I was in a car accident and my car was totalled and there is no public transportation to the new job location. Will I qualify for unemployment benefits?
