Do you think if Amy Lee (the lead singer) wasn't known, just starting out, and tried out on American Idol, that she would get dissed by Paula,Simon & Randy or do you think they would tell her "you're goin' to Hollywood"??????

she has a lovely voice, but it's not what the american idol people are looking for. they like commercial pop bubble gum teeny boppers. amy lee would look kinda really out of place. people who actually feel what they sing get sent home, one girl almost got the ax this week cause she made funny faces, but she was an awesome singer! image is everything, unfortunatly.
besides, nothing would destroy a good career like amy's quite like american idol. ew.

Amy Lee is the best voice out right now!! Has anyone heard their old stuff, like Anywhere of Forgive me? I love Evanescence, and I hope they are around forever. She would crush any idol past or present.

Amy Lee would definitely go to Hollywood. She has one of the most natural and nicest voices out there today.

she would win american idol to her Disadvantage. She would never be allowed to write her own songs anymore, or look the way she does anymore, or pick her own bandmates anymore.. it would Totally suck.

The music industry isn't about actual music anymore (you have to go to indie artists to find music), it's about entertainment and image.
