More or less, the full story:
In 2003, Bonds became embroiled in a scandal when Greg Anderson of the Bay Area Laboratory Co-operative, Bonds' trainer since 2000, was indicted by a federal grand jury in the United States District Court for the Northern District of California and charged with supplying anabolic steroids to athletes, including a number of baseball players. This led to speculation that Bonds had used performance-enhancing drugs during a time when there was no mandatory testing in Major League Baseball. Bonds declared his innocence, attributing his changed physique and increased power to a strict regimen of bodybuilding and legitimate dietary supplements.
During grand jury testimony on December 4, 2003 — which was obtained through unknown means by the San Francisco Chronicle (leaking grand jury testimony is a felony) and published almost a year later, on December 3, 2004 — Bonds allegedly said Anderson gave him a rubbing balm and a liquid substance that Anderson said was arthritis cream and flaxseed oil, respectively. The prosecutors contended that what Bonds was actually given was "the cream" and "the clear", which are both forms of the designer steroid THG.
In August 2005, all four defendants in the BALCO steroid scandal trial, including Anderson, struck deals with federal prosecutors that did not require them to reveal names of athletes who may have used banned drugs.

The question everyone so desperately wants answered is whether Barry knowingly cheated. There should be no questions asking if Bonds used the drugs, he did. One understands that grand jury testimony is not suppose to leak but it did. I also understand the mystery and suspense of the whole thing. I, just like everyone else, stop what I'm doing and become glued to the TV everytime ESPN cuts from their non stop NFL coverage and show Barry at the plate.
Bonds provides converstion topics for sports talk and fans all across the baseball world. There are debates about asterisks', Babe Ruth, and home run records. Barry Bonds, however, used performane enhancing drugs. There is no debate about this, knowingly or not, he used steroids.

Ok, When Barry Bonds came to the Giants he hired a trainer, Greg Anderson, who is the biggest steroid dealer in baseball. Anderson is spending jail time. Friends and family have told reporters about his steroid use. He shaved his head to help hide his thining hair(from steroids). 99.99999999999 percent of baseball, including commissioner Bud Selig, believes Bonds took steroids the .0000000000001 is Barry Bonds. However, there has not been enough proven evidence that he took steroids and can't be tried for perjury. He probably didnt knowingly hire a giant steroid dealer. Bull s**t. Barry Bonds gained 50 pounds in 7 years. There is so much evidence where to start!

He did admit to using the cream that he claims he did not know was a steroid.
He did deny using any kind of illegal substance early on in his career. As of today that story holds and no proof of him doing other wise has been provided.

Does it matter? Don't our Congressmen and women have better things to do than to worry about people who play a child's game for a living? Why do we not let the courts take care of him? Make him take a steriod specific drug test and if it is positive, book him for drug use. He will have to quite baseball if he is behind bars. Do this to a few high profile athletes and see how fast steriod use drops. What part of Illegal do they not understand? or are they too rich and famous for the law to apply to them?
