Wondering how you qualify for a substance abuse program in a federal prison. Also I was wondering how long it akes for you to qualify. Can you get into a program as soon as you get there, or is there some kind of waiting period? Please help!!!!

Prior history on you PSR stating you have/had a drug or alcohol problem. Once you are in the system the amount of time it takes to start varies, usually about 6 to 12 months. As long as your sentence is longer then 36 months and you didn't commit a crime with a firearm it should go ok. I used to work for the BOP.

Rehabilitation is a joke, it doesn't work.

If the addict doesn't help themselves, no one else is going to do it for them.
