Yes, wise people are reluctant to pay, because, the govt. does not tell us how they will spend this money. There is no transparency, and the govt. does not give us a voice, to voice our opinion, on how this money should be spent for the good of the community. For an individual, income tax, is tax on hard earned money. It would definitely hurt if the govt. misuses this money.
If transparency and accountability exists then everyone would pay tax happily and quickly.
