There's actually a fair amount:
John Stewart - the 2nd Green Lantern i believe.
Black Lightning - Now part of the new Justice League (I think that's his name)
Luke Cage - Marvel guy. Indestructible. Definitely a badass.
War Machine - He was Iron Man's (Tony Stark's) assistant for years and took his place for a time, becoming so popular he had his own series for a while.
Cloak - of Cloak and Dagger.
Spawn - well, he used to be black, before he was burnt up in hell. Now he's undead. Went by the name Al Simmons.
Falcon - Captain America's good friend.
Mister Terrific - member of the Justice Society of America. VERY cool costume...
Bishop - X-Men fella. Was from the future and came back in time to help prevent what he saw as the Apocalypse for mutantkind.
Firestorm - the new guy. His name is Jason Rusch.
Storm - oh, you know who she is...something to do with the weather.
The Black Panther - Marvel guy. Has his own series. Another great costume.
Nick Fury (in Ultimate Marvel) - kinda reminds you of a miltary Samuel L. Jackson.. Much cooler than the original Nick Fury.

That's a start!

John Stewart (Green Lantern)
Falcon
Storm
Vixen
Black Lightning
Steel (the armored one)
Black Panther
Rage
Tyrok (From legion of superheroes, old DC universe)
Sunspot (New Mutants, Frist Team)
Captain Marvel (female, later Photon and currently pulsar)
War machine
Luke Cage (Power Man)
Bishop (X-men)
Black Goliath (Later Giant man III)
Amazing Man (All Star Squadren)

There are the ones I can think of right off the top of my head...and I know that there are a few I am forgetting, but then I haven't been much into comic books in ages.

Black Lightning, Luke Cage, Black Falcon, Black Panther to name a few. The whole Dakota (Static Shock) comic line was full of black superheroes. Tony Stark's bodyguard was War Machine. Blade (not Wesley) is another one. I can go on and on as I have been reading comics for over 25 years (I brought them with pennies) only stopping after Superman split in two. Steel was a good one, not Shaq. Meteor Man doesn't count. Bumblebee and some other Teen Titans from the late 70's, Gabriel and his horn. Sunspot is not black, he is Hispanic.

The other answerers have this one pretty well covered, but let me see if I can think of a couple of more obscure ones...

There's Blade, of Tomb of Dracula and Wesley Snipes movie fame, if he counts as a super-hero...

There's the original ShadowHawk, a character created by Jim Valentino for Image comics back in the 90s

There's the second Invisible Kid who was a member of the Legion of Super-heroes in the 1980s

I think there was a black version of Superman in DC's Tangent Comics project of a few years back.

Stan Lee did a series for DC comics called Just Imagine, in which I believe he created a black version of Batman. There's also a black "Batman" in the latest version of Squadron Supreme, I think he's called Nighthawk, and the new Squadron Supreme also features a black Flash-type character.

There was a black female version of Captain Marvel in the Avengers in the 80s.

There was a black super hero occasionally featured in Fat Albert cartoons, maybe he was called the Black Hornet?

I think there was a Black version of Bucky in an issue of Captain America in the late 80s or early 90s.

There's another black character who I believe was called "the first Captain America" or something like that, and I believe the idea was that this black character, whose name escapes me, was actually a test subject for the Super Soldier serum BEFORE Steve Rogers. I think his grandson or something is a member of the Young Avengers.

And finally, let's not forget the latest black super-hero: the Amazing Obama Man!

I only know marvel, but Luke Cage, Black Panther, the Patriot, Bedlam, Bishop, Blade, Deathlok, Cloak, Triathlon (always thought he was pretty lame, though), Prowler (reformed super-villain), War Machine, Storm, Falcon, Isaiah Bradley (alternate Captain America), Goliath, Doorman (Great Lakes Avenger), Rage (former Avenger) and Shard (x-factor) are all black superheroes, and there are alot of black supervillains and supporting characters as well.

Alex Wilder from Runaways is black, but he's kinda dead and kinda evil...so he's not a superhero

Still, Falcon, Luke Cage and War Machine are holding the soul of Earth-616

Hong Kong Phooey was voiced by Scatman Crothers.

Luke Cage
Rage
Photon
Triathalon

I'd actually like to see an even smaller list:
WHO ARE SOME JEWISH SUPERHEROES?

uh.....

Sabra.
Kitty Pryde.

Thats it, just those two...Maybe the Thing.
