Like VN War, government knew how to eliminate the VC quick and clean without losing many men by bombing the complex damp system in N VN. It will result in total elimination of major VC forces, their supplies, their factories and thousands of their supporters! But, fearing the anger of Americans, US government not dare to do it! So, if now, our government knows something like this to eliminate the terrorists, will you allow them to do it? (no nuke)

Is it possible to consider first the morality of what was done in Vietnam and now in the Middle East?

Why should we try to win something we have no right to?

Why were we repressing Vietnam's movement for Independence against France? What the heck are we doing in Iraq? (Has something to do with that missing 12 billion dollars in stacks of hundred dollar bills....)

So, you are proposing doing some awesome slaughter to enrich (further enrich) a few very nasty men.

This has nothing to do with 'terrorists.' Remember, Iran backs the same side we back in Iraq!

Nope. This whole "war" has gone so far beyond the level of sanity, to even consider winning for pride or national prestige is nauseating. To escalate is insanity piled on insanity.

Who would we eliminate? Who is our enemy? What do you mean by "win"? In most "wars" there is a clear-cut enemy, and you "win" by defeating them militarily. In Iraq, we don't even know who or what we are fighting.

So, no, I would NOT favor harsher methods.
