I have an alto E recorder that I'm practicing with, but the natural sound is quite loud. I've heard there are ways to muffle and lower the amount of volume coming out of a recorder, possibly with a fold of paper. Is anyone familiar with this? How exactly do you do this?

there are filters for that i believe, go to your nearest local music shop and ask for sound filters as well as describe your delimma
