I don't think tthere is a warranty. It's responding, but I cant take it off hold. Its wont budge. I slide it all the way, that doesnt work. I restored it, that didnt work. I'm sad.

If you're positive you have the button on top to the "unlock" position, then I would suggest a "reboot". Remember, the iPod is really just like a mini-computer and it has a hard drive. Hold down the middle button and the top part of the wheel for a few moments (hold them together). The iPod should reboot and you should be able to start playing again.

If this doesn't work, try reconnecting to your computer. It may just need to resynch.

If that still doesn't work, but at least your computer and iPod are communicating, then just reformat and reload the songs. iTunes will ask you at one point to plug the iPod into the wall to reset it.

I've had mine screw up photos or stop, and usually one of these steps work.
