I can see many people here don't listen at all, to the speeches that muslims give when they bash us.
isn't that the usual thing that keeps conflicts from ceasing??

You're absolute right! They hate us because we are too liberal. In
fact Mahadinijad told Bush, in his letter, that Bush should know that LIBERAL Democracy is a failure. Thank you for pointing this out to people.
The fact is that many, if not most, of the people who criticize liberalism in this country, would follow Mahadinijad, without question, if they were Iranians. A zealot is a zealot and their nationality is a coincidence.

Submitting to Islam would be terrorist appeasement. Keeping the separation of church and state in mind, when drawing our own personal political decisions, would be terrorist defeating.

I don't have a problem talking to the Iranians; in fact I think it's stupid not too talk to those that oppose you. But when the opponent's rhetoric begins with outrageous claims and demands, I can understand why negotiations are so difficult. When Ahmadinijad rants about the holocaust being a lie and proposes the annihilation of a nation, he certainly doesn't sound like anyone that I want to talk to.

I know the history of US involvement in Iran. I know that the we acted like a colonial power. I also believe George Washington was right when he told us to stay out of ancient foreign conflicts.

I think it's way past time for America to put the two world wars behind us and go back to our origin.

This is question in first part is neither correct, nor reasonable.

Historically talking...whoever attack to other country would be considered as 'Enemy'. In all History Books you will find that all Nations hating the 'Enemies'

In last century, Americans have attacked to many countries in the World you just name it where you did attack

AND this is the only reason that 300,000,000 Americans are now living in their own HOME as the Biggest Jail that ever a corrupt Government made for his own Nations.

Since 1950 the Americans' crimes in IRAN have no justifications at all. What kind of Government US has, certainly is not liberal

its because we supported Saddam during Irans infighting while the Ayatollah Kohmeni came to power. Iran was going to make a move at Iraq anyways so some of our guys probably suggested to him to take the initiative and grab the oil fields to the east.
Then the Ayatollah came out with the perversion of the word 'jihad' and sent about 1 million of his own as a poorly equipped suicide squad once the armies engaged in stalemate.
We, the US, at that time slipped Saddam about 10 million or so to acquire some old soviet stock munitions to keep up the fight.
Maybe Saddam was hoping at that time we'd actually become allies to him or he would find favor behind our generosity by the time the smoke cleared.
Iran blames the US to this day for propping up Saddam and now that we are enemies eternally of Muslim boogeymen in Iran. The dynamics of our society matter only that we are not Muslim, this is what Iran hates and what Iran stands for, backs and supports.

I have never been there so can only go on a few people I know from my job. The people I know don't hate us, they have very set guide lines for the way they live & think the rest of the world is to liberal.
So liberal is one big reason they don't get along with us.

I don't think most muslims hate us at all- Iranian, or otherwise. It's our "fearless Leader" G. W.- they can do without. Their culture IS pretty conservative...- But like us, they're willing to "live & let live", as long as we're not telling them HOW to do it. Unfortunately, they DON'T like the way we're mishandling things on their doorstep (Iraq), and they frown when G.W. tells them they can't have ANY nuclear weapons- when the U.S. has thousands. And by the way, G.W. won't even TALK with their leaders- and THAT doesn't impress the Iranians much, either...

Hi I have alot of knowledge about Iranians because my best friend more like a sister, since I was 7, is Iranian, and her family is mostly Muslim. They think America is the great Satan, mostly because of the promiscuity. and sexual immorality and most of all our support for ISRAEL. this is why. It also depends on what type of Muslim you are speaking about, radical or the lukewarm here in America we have alot of Luke warm mellow peaceful Muslim's who interpret the Koran differently than the more radical Muslims . so they don't hate us personally just our immorality and would like death to America for it.

Iranian Muslims wear blue jeans and listen to Beyonce. Don't buy Glenn Beck's "culture war" line. The people you see chanting "Death to America" for the most part are paid state workers singing for their supper. Recent elections in Iran dealt a big blow to Ahmadinejad and voted in a bunch of moderates.
