Rep Jose Serrano (D-New York) has put legislation to congress that says any ILLEGAL that has a child in the US is granted the entire family citizenship for the "sake of the kids" Is this a good idea?

Oh heavens no! I think a more common sense approach would be to deny automatic citizenship to a child born in this country if the parents are not here legally. This precedent alone would surely curtail a decent percentage of illegal immigration, and ease the burden for caring for illegals from our nations taxpayers who honor and uphold our laws. Why should we reward a criminal act?

I agree with Andy Rooney - If you can not speak English or you were not born of a legal citizen then you are an illegal. Show them the border from the other side & that includes the children born on taxpayers money from illegal mothers.
