well depends on the individual...for me eventhough im already 21 but i still dont use any make up coz i prefer my natural looks.but teens today are starting to wear make up at a very young age which can be harmful to their skin..an appropriate age to start would be 17 and above.

You don't have to wear every product right away. Most women I know, their parents let them start wearing a few things, like lip gloss and natural eye shadow, in middle school, then added things bit by bit, and by 16 they were wearing everything if they wanted to.

It depends upon the girl and the situation. I never wore makeup until I was nearly 17, because my mom never wears it. But I think 15 is the earliest that girls should start. (Unless lip gloss counts. Then 12 is fine. ;P )

it really depends on the girls lifestyle.. most little kids wear really bad makeup cuz they wanna be like mommy, but then they go through the tomboy phase and they generally don't start for real untill between the ages of 12 - 17 & up.....(generally 13)

i started playing around with makeup (wearing it in public) at about 11 years old and i think that it all depends on the girl a prissy girl would want to wear it early and a tom-boy later if ever but it depends on the girl and what the parent approves of.

I think there are stages. I think 11 is ok just for mascara and a lip gloss, 12 above plus a compressed powder, and by the time she gets to highschool she can wear what she wishes within reason.

I say not until she is in high school. That is when I started wearing it. Young girls really don't need a lot of make up!
