I was shocked also. I wasn't a big fan of Anna Nicole's and I did make fun of her a few times (in an answer a couple days ago which I tried to go back and delete but it's been resolved). I feel bad for her family and loved ones. I know what it's like to lose someone you love. There's some posts on YA that I've read where people have made sick jokes and said evil things about Anna's passing. I hope people don't do that when they lose someone they love.

I definitely feel sorry for the little baby. Just because Anna Nicole Smith was kind of an airhead doesn't mean she wouldn't have made a good parent. Hell, I know ditzy, self-serving people who have (strangely) made wonderful parents, and no one tells them their kids would be better off if they died!

She had been lying low for the last several months since her son died, and hadn't even really been making waves for a while before that -- she had been pretty quiet with what was going on in her personal life, and I think that shows responsibility.

I just shake my head at the bad decisions she made, and how tragically her life ended and her little girl's began. To have that happen to anyone -- even the goldigging Anna Nicole Smith -- is truly sad. That baby deserved to know her mother. No baby is better off without a loving parent, and there is no proof out there that Anna Nicole Smith didn't love her child(ren). To suggest otherwise is petty.

Let the woman rest in peace. Lord knows, her child deserves it.

I feel bad about Anna Nichol but her child stands to gain 400 million dollars and will never remember who her mother really was. The sad part is that she will only get the bad things from the press and upcoming books on the subject. However she will be well taken care of.

I was in shock also! I feel bad for her new baby and whoever the father is. I was at work when the story broke, I had to get to a tv and check it out. I loved her! She was an underdog and never got a fair shake.

That baby is probably lucky. Inheriting a lot of money. Plus, Anna N. was kind of a messed up person.

*** absolutely. i was sayin that to my daughter tonight. that lil girl's gonna grow up never knowing anything real about her mom...never having those tender memories that could possibly overshadow the tabloid legacy that'll be the only thing that really lives on about anna nicole. what's that gonna be like to grow up and see your mom lookin stoned and actin the ditz, and know nothing else about her. i feel horrible for her. i wonder who'll raise her now too. thinkin they'll do the paternity test, and hopefully her real daddy gets to take her and he damn well better be good to her. otherwise she's not gonna stand a chance...she'll be SOOOOOOO messed up.

I feel very badly for the baby. I have a daughter thats 10 days older than her baby. Just to think her baby won't know her mommy just breaks my heart :(

Yes, but the courts should have demanded a paternity test a long time ago and at least that would have been one less problem.

It's the best thing that could've happened to her child. Anna had so many problems....psychological, emotional, esteem or lack thereof......this was bound to happen. Hopefully her child will be reaised by a caring loving grounded couple.
