I think its very helpful, it has helped me with certain things. I had some trouble with my garbage disposal and I recieved an answer that fixed my problem. Some of the questions and answers are out in left field sometimes. But its like anything there are pros and cons.

No: I like helping others if I know the answers or can give my honest opinion. And sometimes I ask a question/opinion too and then enjoy the answers, except for some sarcasm here and there.
Yes: some people ask really rude questions, like "Do you think Anna Nicole Smith died from silicone poisoning?" Now that's really insensitive and I think we shouldn't answer questions like that. Some also express their judgments and this can lead to conflict and resentment, like "Why are all the British women so ugly?" And people can't spell. Plus I dislike it when some ask things that you cannot answer, and when they are too lazy to think for themselves or look for the answer in a dictionary.
I come on here when I have nothing to do, so sometimes it is a waste of time and other times entertaining, informative and funny.

Def not a waste of time, underneath all the silliness of some answers there is some intelligent and interesting information to be found.

Waste of time if you are at home. If you're at work then it is an important tool for relieving the boredom.
