In this case it is fully dividable, 98 divided by 14 is 7. But, if you wanted an example: solve 96 divided by 4, you would first take the first digit 9 and divide it to 4 it would be 2 times you have 1 left. The 1 infront of 6 would make the number 16, so when you divide 16 to 4 it will give you 4. And the final answer would be 24.

I've seen it done where you just keep subtracting and keep a tally on the side until you are done.
98-14= 84--------1
84-14 =70--------2
70-14=56---------3
56-14=42---------4
42-14 = 28-------5
28-14= 14--------6
14 -14 =0---------7

so it goes 7 times. I have seen it done this way where multiples are subtracted to make it faster and shorter. Still a long way to do a long division problem. It works if you are having trouble dividing but are good at subtraction.

All right. . . let's see.
14 goes into 98 (14,28,42,56,70,84,98) 7 times evenly. Easy enough for that one!
