This is a 2 part question for my daughter's geography paper, we have been searching all evening online and maps, if anyone could help I would appreciate it.

No, it is not on a bay. It is inland, in the southern portion of the State of Illinois. It also happens to be its state capital.

no, not in the past million years- hey- I live here in illinois, 100 miles north of springfield, originally from florida..I would kind of notice a bay
