y do they act like they like u and play with are heads and act like they like u. y do they give u attention one day and completly ignore us the next.

Bcuz they like to make you work for them... if you like them then you make a move if you don't you just watch them ignore you...pretty simple if you think bout it.... but yea tht is y.... we wanna see if you like us enough to take the hint...or do we?? LOL!!

It's like asking, "why are guys dogs?" Guys just are. And girls just do. Women are very, very, complex and complicated creatures. Sometimes they (we) don't even understand each other or ourselves! Believe it or not.
I think girls want to keep guys guessing; or make it a challenge for the guys. Either that, or they don't want to be the one getting burned so they do it first.

1. They're trying to manipulate you
2. They're trying to play around with you and see how you would react - they're testing you

it is not that there playing mind games it is that there smart and well kinda want guys to know that. and if a guy can get past that then there worthy.

well i know in my case, its SO flattering when a guy likes me. but as soon as he starts to show interest i get scared. unless the guy is outright open to me about how he feels, i drop him like a fly.
