Several years back I met actress Toni Collette. She was in our area making a movie (one of her first - "Muriels Wedding").
We spoke to her in a local cafe and she was just lovely.
A happy, friendly and totally natural young woman.

She has since gone on to bigger Hollywood films (In Her Shoes, About A Boy, Sixth Sense, Changing Lanes), I hope her personality remains intact always.

I was backstage at the True Confessions tour, talking with some members of the band and some other folks.

I got into a discussion about Bob Dylna and his lyrics and how they just did not make any sense to me at all.

he may be a great musician but the lyrics left me baffled.

I feel a tap on my shoulder and turn around to see Bob Dylan. He asked me for an explanation and i quoted a lyric from an earlier song he did. I then asked him was did it really mean

He gave an enimatic half smile and told me "Someday, you'll find out", then politely walked away.

Many years ago, as a kid, I went to a Superbowl (Dallas vs Denver). After the game, My brother and I waited for Tom Landry (the head coach of Dallas) to come out of the locker room. He did but was totally covered by reporters after having just won the big game.
My brother and I walked around and around this throng of people as they walked down the field interviewing Mr. Landry. We were so small in comparison though being only in 6th and 4th grade. We wanted a pic with him so bad! We just kept running around and around in circles trying to get in there.

Then after walking to the opposite 20 yrd line, Mr. Landry tells everyone to get back and calls me and my brother over, pulls us in, leans down and gives us a pic with him. Totally awesome how he just moved the reporters and everyone out of the way and called us over. Wow! What a memory. Thanks for asking the question, makes me smile just thinking this man would do that for 2 youngs kids.

on a side note: Dang, i wish Jerry Jones would sell the Cowboys to someone more respectable!! Haven't been a fan of Cowboys since Jones took over and if you know how he treated Landry we will know where I am coming from.

I have never meant anyone....famous. But I don't really care. I mean, they aren't very important to me; I would be more excited to meet so and so than them....they seem so full of themselves and we 'the little people' are no one to them....or so they think; just the ones who go to their movies or games or whatever and make them famous.

I once met Dennis Rodman at a seafood place in California while I was on a boating trip. He was so tall and he must have been drunk because he was slurring his speech. But, I got a picture with him and it was pretty cool.
