National Elections in the US are held on the first Tuesday following the First Monday in November. Every four years, the president is elected, with all members of the House of Represenatives and 1/3 of the Senate elected every two years. The "mid-term" elections (ie the latter described elections, but no presidential elections) were held last November 7th. The next presidential election (which will also include the House & Senate elections) will be held Tuesday November 4 2008.
