Even if someone is a "junkie", their death is still a loss. Especially if they're leaving a young child behind as she did. One less junkie may be how some people look at it, but it's also one less mother and human being.

Junky or not, any death is a loss. In addition to her daughter, she did have people who loved and cared for her. Just because she may have had a drug problem will not make their grief any less real.

Leave the girl alone. Of course it's a loss! Anna Nicole Smith's death is tragic and untimely.

the only death I was happy about recently was saddam hussein... maybe other evil people. She was just a sad sad person with lots of problems. I don't think it's worth 24 hour coverage on all the cable news channels though. A story would be enough I think.

It's always a big loss when someone dies...but she is in a better place and hopefully her daughter will be well taken care of.

No, I would have to say that Keith Richards's longevity has been one of the biggest celebrity surprises of the last 20 years. Every morning that I wake up and fail to see his obituary is a spectacular surprise for me.

Things do have a way of creeping up on you don't they. I think her daughter is honestly better of and hopefully she ends up making better choices than her mum. I am not trying to be insensitive it is a tragedy but just maybe this way her daughter may have better grounding in life.
