It is required by law that generic and name brand be exactly the same. The reason that there are generics is because the patent on the name brand has ended and other companies are able to distribute it. In some cases the same company makes both generic and name brand. I use generics all the time because they are cheaper.

Always buy generic medications. Look at the main ingredient. It is the same thing entirely. Look at the generic versions of over the counter meds as well. It can save you a fortune.
