Cherios have no nutritional value. Stick to food that are going to provide nutrients your baby needs. Think food pyramid, ie mostly wholegrain cereals and bread, fruit and veges, and dairy. (Should still be having3 serves of dairy -breastfeeds or bottles up to this age - maybe starting on cows milk if no allergy in the family). This age loves finger foods. carrot sticks in the microwave for a bit. toast fingers with avacado spread. fruit salad chunks. Try not to let you food preferences interfere, at this age they love almost any thing in weird combo's too. Babies and Children WILL EAT WHEN HUNGRY so as long as you're giving the nurtirient dense food just chill nothin to worry about. Don't give rubbish just to satisfy your desire to see em eat. Appetite is very variable I have learned from my 3 under 4.

Gerber has a whole line of baby snacks, fruit puffs, animal cookies, crackers (both veggie and cheese), fruit snacks (and they are made for little toddlers they are smaller than regular ones and disolve and are not rubbery like others), arrowroot cookies, cerial bars. and thats just the gerber line and Im sure I missed a few. Also peanutbutter crackers (if they are over one year old) and cheese crackers are always a hit w/ mine. hope this helps. oh yeah if my daughter was in a i don't want to eat regular meals phase, I would cook up a can of carrots or greenbeans for a snack.

My kids really liked the little dried fruit pieces that gerber sells - strawberries and bananas. Also - my kids really liked graham cracker sticks dipped in strawberry yogurt (kids LOVE to dip stuff). Goldfish crackers have a baked whole grain variety now. My kids also really liked baked squash with just a tiny bit of brown sugar sprinkled on top (really - just a little bit). You can use fresh or frozen squash. And mine always liked veggies better at that age if they were really tender - like the canned carrot coins or steamed fresh veggies.

I always cut up little pieces of avocado, bananas, strawberries, cheese, olives, things like that. Gerber has freeze-dried apples and strawberries which are excellant whether you're a child or adult. Cooked and cooled macaroni or shells, garbanzo beans, red beans, sunflower seeds. Good luck!

just keep giving her what you are eating. she may not want it or like it at first, but you have to keep introducing it to her. Her palate will develop a taste for it and she will like most of the things. just remember that bland foods are favored by toddlers rather than foods with lots of complex flavors. so dont over season everything. good luck

i give my son PB&J sandwiches cut up. he loves them. also, he likes baked potatoes, and grahm crackers. he will go for rits crackers to! he also just LOVES cheese, and 100% fruit juice. i like to freeze some juice sometimes, and put a biter buiscut cracker in it. he loves those on hot days. Also he cant go on without his grapes cut into 4s.I give him 100% whole wheat toast with mashed avacado spread on it.he also likes this with a wheat tortilla.
