Cancun Question: Oasis America or Holiday Inn Arenas?

Has anyone been to either one of these resorts? We are looking for something all-inclusive and close to the beach...Any experiences?

hello,
i have never been to neither one but i do live in between cancun and playa del carmen since more than a decade.
to make a long story short: forget about both.the oasis is not even close to the beach.it is more kind of a business-hotel in downtown cancun.yes,they do have a shuttle bus to the "oasis beach hotel" in the so known hotel-zone for everybody who want to enjoy (or even see) the beach....but hey...do you want to take a bus every time you want to go to the beach?
the holiday inn arena is a beachfront hotel....but just by looking at it from the outside is enough for me to say:no.
i do not know what your budget is but there is a user here at "yahoo-answer" with the nick "Tammy R".she is a travel-agent which loves and knows the area.send her an e-mail (sunsationvacations@ya... ) with all the information (budget,where you want to fly from,what you are looking for and so on) and i'm sure she will find you something which covers all your needs and your budget.
