Mayaguana Island (Bahamas) - any information?

My fiance and I are considering going to Baycaner Beach on the island of Mayaguana for our honeymoon. Has anyone stayed there? I am looking for information about the resort and info on the reefs...any personal experiences would help us out so much as we've already read all there is on the internet about this remote island. Thanks!

I am a native and Bahamians do not travel there as often unless they are going for home comming..why not go to Nassau? You can try calling the Ministry of Tourism's Help Line in Nassau at (242)326-4357 between 9am and 11pm daily.
