How do they compare/contrast from real diamonds?

On average, and depending on size, what should 100% real cubic zirconias cost?

Any information you can give me would be greatly apprecaited! Thanks much!

I have to correct the above person who said that CZ are manmade diamonds. They are NOT manmade diamonds, they are manmade SIMULATED diamonds, meaning that they do not have the same chemical composition as actual real diamonds. CZ has a lot more "fire" than a real diamond, as in that it refracts too much light making a rainbow colorplay rather than being classy brilliant like the diamond. CZ is very cheap, you can get a pair of large 1ct. CZ earrings for three or four american dollars.

Synthetic diamonds on the other hand are exactly the same in chemical compositions as diamonds and are virtually indistinguishable. They are very difficult to manufacture and supposedly the only way jewellers can tell the difference between synthentic and genuine is that genuine is always flawed on a near microscopic level while synthetics are completely perfect. Also, all companies that manufacture synthetic diamonds (there's only 5 or 6 in the world) are required to put microscopic serial numbers on the diamonds. These synthetic diamonds sell from 500 (for half a carat) and to the thousands.

Well, as my jeweler once said, you never find a flaw in a CZ. how do they compare, a diamond shines, a CZ sort of just sits there and turns yellow with age. A CZ is cheap, a diamond costs real money.

The real cost of a CZ is about $5, but that's not what you are going to spend for it. You can get a nice one in a gold setting for about $125 from a Bloomingdales catalog. They look pretty good and are not that small, look at the Bloomingdales by Mail, or Bloomingdales on line. When you say 100%real cubic Zirconia, there isn't anything else, it's fake enough as it is.

Cubic Zirconia is man made diamonds made in a chemistry lab under strict conditions that supposedly mimic the earth making real diamonds, but in far less time. Zirconium diamonds can be made in 90 days as real diamonds take thousands of years to be made in the Earths mantle or heat core..

I have to admit I have purchase Zirconium diamonds that look like the real thing, so I guess you can say man is getting real good at making diamonds.

Walmart sells Zirconium Diamonds that look like the real thing from 10 to 50 dollars.

Cubic Zirconia is like a cheap plastic. ....Diamonds are Rocks. from the ground and they are rare hehe.

Cubic's are like dirt cheap now...20 bucks will get you some big ones.
They are nothing compared to the real thing...they dont shine like diamonds, they dont look like diamonds. Its like comparing Gold and metal. They fog up and diamonds are hella clear.

A small CZ in a good setting will be indistinguishable from a diamond by sight. They're brighter, and a bit softer, but what usually distinguishes them from diamonds is that they're so cheap that people wear stones that are far too large for the setting and for their personality.

Any other semi precious stone. Sapphires Ruby's Emeralds.... You can get gorgeous stones that are lab created. The finished stone is flawless. It is grown using a real gem in a Laboratory Moissanite would be a substitute for diamonds. It also is a lab created stone. This stone is gorgeous and rivals diamonds. You can check them out at your local JC Penny's and find out outlets on the internet.

feels the same and looks the same. diamonds cost way too much, exspecialy when u can get a cubic zar w/e its called for about an 1/8th the price of a diamond. they fell the same and when she drops it down the disposal, you can hold it against her for that good old, you drop that really expensive diamond down the drain, pleasure me in my pants now or i will never forgive you stuff.

They are very inexpensive...and look it! Never go for them unless there's no way you can get the real thing.
