Are civilian who think they helping, actually slowing troop movements by adding too much body and vehical armor? Not to mention devastateing US dignity and honour?

They do want us there. I was there 16 months and have met countless people that wanted us there. There was even an outspoken Iraqi war critic against the occupation, but quickly picked up the phone and asked for protection when his neighborhood was being attacked.

The main damage being done is to morale.
Casualties occur in all wars but by focusing only on casualties, it seems like people don't value the mission. This also raises the morale of the enemies.
I don't know that the war would be over if this weren't slowing things down, but it would be closer.

Vast majority who help soldiers are responding to soldiers' requests. They're not shoving crap over there forcefully. Those soldiers are usually the ones frustrated by lack of equipments or lack of gov reponse. And majority of Iraqis do want the US to leave. Of course there are many who want us to stay, but majority(over half) do not. This is the reason the US based institutions are stopped from taking polls inside Iraq now. By 2004~2005 polls(on Iraqi citizens) indicated sharp decline in approval rating for US presence in Iraq. You'll see no poll numbers coming out from inside Iraq.

You can always find people in Iraqi that will say good things about the US soldiers and other things. Theres no question they exists, but the ones who don't out number them. Why else would we be still struggling in Iraq 4 years after 'mission accomplished'? We're struggling so much because everybody there like us? That doesn't make sense. They're fighting each other and fighting the US soldiers and it is mass. New NEI basically stated that now, we have civil war plus many many other mini conlicts and crimes.

To give you some idea crazy decisions people made during the war. When Saddam's regime fell, existing Iraqi army agreed to corporate, but the US/coalition disbanded entire Iraqi army, basically putting thousands of armed/trained men on streets without jobs. You think they were happy about that? Or welcome US force?

They also deBathified Iraqi gov. Meaning they got rid of all Saddam's personals from the gov. And people now wonder why Sunni attacks account for vast majority of violence.

We did everything just right to set up Iraq for complete chaos and suicide bombing hell hole. It's not the liberal media, it's not New York Times, democrats, or mom's support package that turned Iraq into what it is now.

And people still think Iraq is some quick fix up job that need more people. Its not that easy and not that simple.

No= In my opinion, its not civilians, its alquida sending word to their people liveing where ever, Telling them to encite all peoples against the coalition forces for what-ever. Its a break down of spirit through the free world to change and leave,so alquida can come out of their country and infiltrate the free world for more terrorism. Their leader that attacked the mosk we'rent Iraq's but Alquida and the leader has a heavy price on his head from along time ago for training alquida troops to attack Iraq's and take overIraq underthe American heading of civil war,but with one big differenc ealquida against Iraq's.

Any excuse, huh? How about the fact that the guy who planned the invasion called for more than double the troops that were sent there? How about the fact that we dissolved the army and police? How about the fact that the people do not want us there and support killing us? Naaaa - it has to be civilians too concerned about protecting their troops. Good christ.
