What you're looking for is all the X's that will make this a true statement...As long as we avoid negative numbers, we can do the same steps we're used to without confusion...Let's use our B.S. Rule (Both-Sides Rule)

So...let's subtract 7 from both sides to get that X by itself...

X>3 becomes the remaining equation.

Make sense?

X > 3

yeah x>3

plug in 3 into the problem, what do you get
3+7 =10
it doesnt work, your question is looking for number greater than 10
so the number is greater than 3

so we get x>3

x+7>10
minus 7 from both sides
x>3

wow, all the other ppl got the same answer

Just take it slow:
x+7>10
Act as if it was a regular equation, where the greater than sign is instead an equal sign.
x>3
Subtract 7 from both sides in order to get x by itself and there is your answer!

the answer is x > 3.

you isolate the variable by subtracting 7 from both sides. to check just pick a # greater than 3 and replace for the x.

x + 7 > 10

x + 7 - 7 > 10 - 7 subtract seven from each side

x > 3 is your answer

simple

hope this helps!

x + 7 > 10

pretend it is an equation.
x + 7 = 10

isolate x
x + 7 = 10
-7. . . . .-7
x = 3

replace the equal sign with the sign from the origional inequality.
x > 3

voila! zeh answerr issh x > 3

It's simple. if you see x>10, change it to x=11, or if you see x<10, change it to x=9

Anyway, the answer is x>3, or x=4 or higher. You must place a number higher than 4.

I'll tell ya' the alligator opens it mouth to the big number!
So, 10 is less than something (x) plus 7.
So, something (x) plus 7 is more than 10.
So, 4 or more plus 7 would be the answer.

Don't believe me (I can't keep this stuff straight), but SOMEBODY TELL ME IF I'M RIGHT!
edit: I see I'm right, I just can't speak algebra.
