Fake furs are made by weaving monofilament fibers, which are made by pumping a liquid polymer mixture through a filter creating long, thin filament threads, into the yarns of woven fabrics. Some people believe that fur in any form exploits the wearing of fur, and there will always be those who aren't satisfied with "fake" anything and feel that if fake fur is justifiable, then wearing real is too if they feel they're above wearing anything fake.

Fake or faux fur is made from synthetic or man-made products so no animals are killed in the production. I really can't see how having faux fur could be a cruelty, maybe it's all the animals who are poisoned by the chemical wastes from making faux fur.

I don't think anyone ever claimed "Faux Fur"to be cruel but people are encouraged to wear faux fur for keeps animals from being killed in horrible ways for their fur. I would be very carful though to wear anything with Faux fur that is made in China for it is there that cats and dogs are skinned for their fur-beaten to death, strangled etc ,just horrible and since you can't label it cat or dog fur its mislabeled even as "faux fur.
