I have rims on my car and obviously I used to have the lock that the mechanic would neat in order to take off my tires. I really need to get my tires rotated, because last time they told me my front right tire was starting to wear down. But I cannot find the tool they use to unlock the wheels, and I got them off on eBay so I can't get in touch with a buyer..what should I do?

I rotate my tires everytime I drive my car :)

Seriously, though, if you still have the packaging from the locking lugs, they should have a phone number to call and a serial number or lock number to order a replacement key.

If you don't have this, your mechanic should have a wheel lock removal set for just such instances, the set I have even has tools for removing locking hub cap bolts/nuts. If he doesn't have them, call around to your local tire shops or other shops and ask if they have them (dealerships service dept should have them also).

You don't want them to cut them out with a torch, for the obvious reason that it will damage your wheels. Unfortunately, I have seen some shops do this to people's cars.

Simply go to the car dealer for your particular car. They'll match your wheel locks to their master-set and remove your magic tire locks. They will replace the locks with lug nuts until your new master is mailed to you. The dealer has to do this to prevent Joe sh-t the rag-man from buying a hand full of key locks from the parts counter and stealing wheels from seven counties.

Drive your car to the nearest ghetto. Seriously people who scrap cars to steal parts will be able to tell you how to get those rims off. This happened to my cousin in downtown Dallas texas and it was a group of thugs that helped him get a flat tire off that had the lock on them.
The ebay thing if you paid with paypal file a complaint. Also file with ebay.

Chances are that if its an aftermarket lock you are out of luck.. Go get another lock set... an oversized impact socket and a big *** hammer... then hammer that socket onto the lock nut.. crack it loose then pry that socket off.... repeat for the others..
A little trick from the hood!!

dont freak out, just ask your mechanic for his opinion, and or contact a car dealership for your make of car, they can order parts like that for you. your tire wont explode or nothing, im sure you have plenty of time to take care of this.
