Holy crap I'm an employer... I'm not interested in anyone's "growth process" or "personal growth" or whether they like fluffy animals or walks on the beach.

I want to know what skills they bring to the workplace that will get the job done that I'll be employing them to do.

If you want to make the point that you developed / learned new skills during a period of your life (at school, in a job, even in a casual situation like membership of a club) then say so directly.

I don't care that you achieved self-realisation as a Camp Counsellor. I do care that you developed your skills in dealing with people, resolving difficult situations, planning and implementing activities etc.

See where I'm going with this? If you want to email me your resume I'll give you an honest assessment. Just don't make it more than two pages long unless you're over 35 and/or have had a *lot* of jobs. Not just because I won't read it, but nor will the guy who has it sitting on his desk along with those of the 60 other people who just applied for that dream job you're chasing.

What context-- pertaining to what? I'm not sure that it applies anyways... If it pertains to a previous work environment I would say professional maturity or learning leadership(or whatever fits) skills. I wouldn't bother trying to paint a personal history, save that for the interview and only if they ask. Depending on the job of course but computers select the best resumes based on key words the employers have pre-selected to fit their current needs.I'd look up what your current industry buzz word are and use them. Good Luck and remember to be patient it takes 100 resumes for one interview according to the latest statistics!!. My husbands currently looking as well...

instead of stating "I am writing to talk about my growth process", write "I am writing to discuss the process of how I have developed" or "I am writing to discuss the process of how I have grown"....something like that.
