I wish this Yahoo answers thing could allow you to ask people stuff in your own town. Wouldn't that make for interesting discussions as well?

did you try www.craigslist.org for tucson area,,no real blogging there but sometimes questions get answered, if placed under general category...

And check yahoo groups, there are people there you might be able to strike up discussion, maybe even meet and discuss your questions..
