Yes. Absolutely does. It wears away some of the features which always devalues the coin.

No as long as the cleaning process does not errode the integrity of it. Lemon juice and salt works well. Any patina of the penny will not devalue it at all. It is and is expected.

but if you clean a penny it shouldn't decrease in value, but if it's old i beleive so
