Why the reverse gear(Auto Transmission) does not engage when starting cold- Toyota estima 1996 super charger?

when engine is warmed up there is no problem

lots of things do not work when they're cold ... as well as this ---when was the last time you serviced the trans.. and changed the filter.. and put in fresh trans.. fluid... it is all relative to the proper function of the gear box .... how cold is not warmed up and the ride is 10 years old --- warm up the engine before you drive in very cold weather -- this also gets the windshield clear fir safe drivin' ...

Why the reverse gear does not engage when Toyota Emina is heated up. Why is it very poor in moving ? Is there a problem with solenoid ?
