from what i learned recently racists believe in some fairly non-christian notions about science and stuff like that which i cant even talk about because it sounds like the devils handiwork imho. so i was wondering arent these beliefs that some racists have non-christian? why do some hate groups say they are christian? arent christians supposed to turn the other cheek, like jesus did? arent we supposed to love thy neighbor?

Sure it's anti-christian. I'm not christian myself, I'm jewish (non-practicing) but still, wasn't this Jesus (upon whom the whole religion was originally based) a jewish preacher who was, basically, something of a "radical" for his time?? Don't the christians say he associated with lowly people, went with those who were shunned by others in "mainstream" society, preached strong messages of loving your neighbor as yourself (which is a traditional jewish concept as well) but also forgiving, and "turning the other cheek" instead of seeking vengeance.

Jesus, whoever he was, would have been like the prototype, in my opinion, of the "bleeding-heart liberal" Jewish radical , or "socialist" (even though no such political idea existed at that time, but still). He definitely was a dissident of sorts, against the power(s) that existed in his time : Rome / Italy, and the local Jewish leaders and rabbis.

I think if there is any true spirit of Jesus here with we the living today then he (or "it") is in places like AIDS wards, amongst the modern day lepers, or in cancer wards, or in the Palestinian refugee camps (ironically, seeing as though he was a jew) , or in occupied Iraq amongst the downtrodden and the people living in what we in the West would consider to be sub-sub-poverty, or in Darfur amongst the floods of refugees and the stricken there.

His "spirit" , if you will, is certainly not alive in the modern day halls of power, as those kinds of people and places would surely have been repulsive to him in life. So clearly being any kind of a racist would also be very much "anti-christian", yes.

Being a racist IS anti-Christian. Some hate groups say they're Christians because they obviously haven't read the Bible thoroughly. God is LOVE, not HATE. As far as race-mixing goes, it is not stated anywhere in the Bible that we shouldn't do it. In the Old Testament, Isrealites were forbidden to marry pagans (Deut. 7:3-4) because pagans did not worship God. In the New Testament, Christians were told not to marry non-believers of God and Christ because their spirits would be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14).

There is no where in the bible where it says mixing races is forbidden. Moses who was a Hebrew married a Ethiopian woman who was definitely not of his race and God okayed it. In fact, in the Law of Moses it talked about how if the Israelites went out and conquered another nation, they took take the virgins of those nations for wives after she mourned for 30 days. So, these were people of different nationalities. We are supposed to turn the other cheek and love each other. Racism is of the devil and seperates while love brings together. Judge for yourselves. Read Colossians 3:11-14, Christ is all and in all regardles of ethnic background.

Because Christian hate everyone that is not Christian because they think they are better than everyone else. What is meant by racists believe in science, and "stuff" would you consider technology and maybe the Internet which you obviously use, part of the devil's handiwork. If so, then you should stick with your bible!

Yeah, racism is anti-Christian because Jesus Christ told us to love everyone and to not judge others. And racists go against Jesus' teachings, so in a way they go against Him.

no form of "racist" practice is compatable with The Word of God... for a "Christian" to knowingly act in a racist way is contrary to the teaching of Jesus The Christ... there are certain so-called "ethnic" or race based groups which are anti Christian. it is not against God's word to speak out against these groups just because they happen to be made up of a particular "race".. But those of The True Christian Faith are not to base any action against any "group", or negative movement, on the issue of race

it is permitted to fight against islam which is a sworn enemy of Christians... but it is not permitted of Christians to fight all Arabs just because most are decieved by islam...

It is because God supposedly taught equalityto all of the human race. So if someone says "Im so Christian but racism is the way to go" is wrong because its totally un-christian.

Yes you're right, and they'll be a lot of people hearing Jesus say "I never knew you" as he transforms into the Black, White, Jew or Asian that they spent there whole life hating.
