I would still give it some time. HCG shows up after a missed Minstration, or 2-3 weeks after the ovulation. If you have the money you can get an EPF test, (Plasma Test) which can be found 48 hours of fertilization. A missed period on the other hand can be caused by numerous factors; such as stress, hormonal imbalance, malnutrition, amognst others. I would give it another week or so, then take a pregnancy test again.

4 days late? What pregnancy test did you use? If you use one that can detect the hormone soon then it should pick it up but on some women it doesn't pick up for a long time! You should definitely go to the doctor and get tested. It is a possibility you are or your period might just be late this month.

Get a blood test. Lots of test come up negative then 9 months later a baby is born. Trust me. 6 pregnancy test (over the counter) said negative until I went to my gyno and my blood said positive.

Weeell, there's always a possibility if you've been 'exposed'...but I agree, you would have better luck with a blood test. My first couple showed up negative and I was fairly sure I was preg, so I had the blood test done and BINGO! Good luck if that's what you're hoping for.

I think there is a great possibility that you could be positive. It depends on when you last had sexual intercourse. If it was recently, the hpt may not detect it. I would wait awhile and watch for symptoms and take another test.
