I have been going to every Limewire site and every one of them has a fee to download music and membership is required. Where can I go to get free music downlaods?

and select the "Basic" tab, this is the Free Edition. With this you do get Free ILLEGAL music. Just a fair warning, people do get busted on this for Mass Downloading (AKA Downloading Masses of illegal stuff) so again, be warned.

did you download the limewire program? or are you just looking on websites?
try going to download.com and search for limewire, then download the p2p program.
