I'm 20 years old and ive been told many times by friends and mom that i need to mature and become a man. The thing is that i was raised by a single mother so i never had a father figure at home. Most of the "masculine" things that i learn on my own were from watching older friends of mine or just figure them out. I feel that maybe thats the reason i don't have a gf. Maybe i need to get in touch with my masculine side, but how?

Maybe go to an old folks' home and find a mentor :) Or ask another man that you admire to give you some tips.

Just because you were raised by a single mother and didn't have a father figure, doesn't mean you are not mature or masculine. I had a relationship with a guy that was raised with both his parents and an older brother and he was very masculine, but by no means a man in my book. He was irresponsible and immature and disrespectful. A year ago I met a man that was raised by his mother from the age of about 8 years old and he is most masculine and awesome guy I think I have ever met. Don't worry about being a "macho-man", just be you and I am sure someday you will meet a woman that thinks you are awesome as well.

GREAT QUESTION!!!! there is a group that works with men and boys in teaching them just this. it is www.leadershipworks.com
Research that, the have seminars allover, and if you cannot go (just find a way) or cannot afffordt it (find a way) then get the book The Way of The Superior Man, it is a good start. The leadership works workshop will be the best thing you ever did for yourself and all your future girlfriend and wife will thank you. Call and talk to Mitch Darmond if you cannot figure out the best way to participate in the seminar

Being raised by your mother is no excuse. You're 20.By the time you were 18 you had the legel right to venture out in the world and find some mature male company. My brother was the only boy in our house and he's doing a great job with his family.Go out and get your own apartment for starters, then get a stable job.

By becoming a Man, it means that you have certain responsabilities that you need to follow. It doesnt mean that you have to go out like a savage and have sex with every girl you see to become more masculine. That's false.
