I've been really pleased with mine. They're already developing a solid library, and they've got a lot of support from third-party developers. Someone mentioned that the motion sensor was limited at times. While this is true to an extent, that's more of a software issue, as I understand it, and it's only going to get better as people get used to programming for it. The $250 price tag is a definite plus, and there are a lot of neat things coming up for it in the near future.
I wasn't too thrilled with the N64; it didn't have that much of a library compared to the other systems that were out at the same time. The same to a lesser extent happened with the GameCube; while the processing speed was roughly on par with the XBox and actually (as I understand it) a little better than the PS2, the developers didn't really get behind it like they could've, and Nintendo was still torn between whether to ditch or hold onto its image (leftover from Pokemon) as a system for "Kids' games." (Actually, because of the Wii, I've found a lot of neat stuff now that GameCube game prices have plummeted.
The Wii is a different story altogether. I think that in the end, the novelty of it is going to bring people - developers and customers alike - to the system, and the fact that it's a solid system is going to keep them there. As far as business concerns go, I think that Microsoft's early release actually hurt them a little as far as competition goes, and the PS3's ridiculously limited release (combined with the fact that they lose $100 every time they sell a system and the price of the friggin' thing) is going to hurt them, ultimately. I really think that the Wii is going to come out on top of the console war.
As far as the system itself, it's fun. Wii Sports may well be the best party game since GoldenEye (maybe better, since it's even easier for beginners to pick up on), everything else that I've played has been really fun, the Virtual Console has a lot of really great stuff that I missed the first time around, and backwards compatibility with the GameCube means even more awesome (with prices dropping on GameCube games I've found a lot of little gems I didn't know about).
I've been really happy with mine. I hope this helps a little bit.

It is awesome system. Nintendo always seems to impress me. Zelda really put the system to it's full potential. You will sink hours into it and not even realize it.
They may have had a few bad problems with it, broken windows and t.v.'s. But that only shows how much you really get into it. But for some funny stories on the wii, check out www.wiigotaproblem.com. And some lady died in a contest for the wii. The hold your wee for a wii.

I really like mine. Its not as addictive as the xbox 360 because you actually get tired so it doesn't waste your entire day and the games are really fun. The graphics aren't great but who cares about graphics when the game play is fantastic! It's really small and it fits about anywhere and you can get weather and news and internet. I think its the best deal out of the three 2nd gen consoles. (Don't get an Xbox 360 if it ever breaks you they'll kick your *** only buy it if you want gears of war or halo 3 or just save up for a ps3)

I think they are awesome. $250 price tag and Classic nintendo Sega games I can't wait to get one. I got a DS Lite for $130 and its my favorite. New and old games everyone can play. Ps3 is a rip off and Microsoft games are boring. Stick with the original favorites.

Well, i think it could be better. depending on what game you are playing you can only do so many moves with the Wii's controller. i think it couldve used more moves with the controller, meaning giving you more actions to choose from. its a pretty cool system, dont get me wrong... and its one of a kind. i just dont think its worth the full $250, i think its worth more like $150. but thats just me, ya know. i preffer having my x-box over that, or buying the x-box 360 for $250 more than getting the Wii. its a fine system though. go for it is you want.

Stupid ppl posting crap.
I have freinds that have it and even though it doesnt have the fastest processor or graphics, but it has the best gameplay. And isnt that what you are looking for in a system anyway.

There a waste of time, wait untill they come out with who body suits and stuff and goggles to ware and be in like a whole new world, and you can swim and talk to real people and walk around in your mind but it will seem totally real. Wait for that, I know I am and I am excited!!! LOL
