4x+3y = -1, then (subtract 4x on both sides):
3y = -1 -4x, then (divide by 3 on both sides):
y = -1/3 - 4/3x , and there's your slope-intercept form.

Behave.

1. the slope intercept form is y=mx+b
2. from looking at the problem, you can see that 4x would be where the mx is and 3y would be where the y is and -1 is where the "b" would be
3. subtract 4x on both sides to get, 3y=-4x-1
4. divide three to both sides to get y=-4/3x-1/3

Slope intercept form is y = mx + b. You need to solve for y.

4x + 3y = -1
3y = -4x -1
y = (-4/3)x + (-1/3)

it needs to be in the form of y=mx+b

so it would be 3y= -4x-1
then u divide by 3 to get the y by itself... y= -4/3 x -1/3

any more questions, just ask... then -4/3 is the slope and you put the 1/3 on the y-axis to graph, if you are graphing it as well.

Just solve it for y.

4x + 3y = -1

3y = -4x - 1

y = (-4/3)x - 1/3

slope intercept form is y=mx+b, so this would be

y=(-4x/3)-(1/3)
