It may be the network. I have Cingular and texting goes through in about 1-2 minutes. 3 at the most. So if your a big texter I'd switch to a different network. But if you can live with the pain then stick with Verizon. Cingular has very good service. It may also be your phone. If its a newer phone it may go faster. I have an Razr V3 and it goes through fast but on my old phone it didnt. So that may very well be your phone.

I recommend contacting your provider. Tell them to "cancel your location" - (dont call them on your cell phone though). If they don't know what that means, asked to be transfered to tier 2 or 3. After they cancel your location, they "update subscriber". They basically reset your phone. It doesn't change anything, though. So don't worry. You can ask them to explain what it does, and they most likely will. Doing this might be able to get that speed up when sending a text message. Your SGSN signal may not be strong, and resetting it may help. Also, if it doesn't help, it could be your location. Some areas do not get as good of service as others. Also could be the location of the reciever. Good luck.
