I have been trying for 5 years to get out from under excess debt from over use of the plastic. If I haven't got the cash, I go without. It should be completely paid off by this time next year.

I usually pay with both. But most of the time I pay with plastic. That would be my debit card for my checking account. I basically maxed out my major credit card.

Cash! It's accepted more places than any credit card. I also like to know that I'm not putting myself in debt by spending more than I can afford.

Always cash, but I cannot answer "paper" because the banknotes in my country are made of...plastic. No kidding!
