Flush with water and blot up with a white rag. If you pull discoloration onto the rag, the stain is not set. If it is diet, use water and laundry detergent, because of the artificial sweeteners in it. If it is regular soda, you can use Windex to clean up the spot. Be sure to work from the outside of the spot inwards so as not to spread it. Be sure to only use a white rag, since the damp carpet could pull color out of a colored rag and you just created a new problem.
To remove the magazine, place a sopping wet towel on the magazine to help loosen it and hopefully not leave any ink residue on the tile. If there is ink, could clean it with Windex. If it doesn't remove all the stain, use Mr Clean magic eraser, once the tile has dried

I have a small cleaning service, I would recommend for the pop, to use a warm damp rag, not knowing what type of carpet or what type of pop I cannot recommend a chemical. With the damp rag pat the stain do not rub, if the pop was grape you may have a problem and will need a foam cleaner or steam cleaner. As for the magazine on the tile floor spray some tub and tile cleaner on that spot and let it soak for about 5 minutes it should loosen it up to be able to then just wipe it off

You can try this remedy but it depends on if the carpet is colored. there is a product on the market called goo off. I have done this on a solid carpet but if it is like a persian rug , I would take it to a dry cleaner. what you do is 1part goo off to 2 parts water it will look like gas on top off water thats the petroleum distillates. Apply this solution to the stain and blot the area with a soft cloth. allow to penetrate the stain. do not allow it to dry. once the stain begins to lift out and there are no signs of the stain mix some water with dawn dish detergent and gently rub the stained area with the mixture. take a damp sponge and go over the area. allow to dry.

I use a product called Spot Shot for carpet stains - works great. I buy it at WalMart-not expensive.

Yes, if you have a Ace Hardware Store, its called stain-x, no smell its clear, it gets red clay out of white carpet, read the directions, and it's cheap.

soaking the tile will get the paper off, but you may need to resort to something stronger to get off the dyes if it soaked into your tile, try bleach, if that wont work try something like goof off or oops, on the carpet start with resolve carpet cleaner, and see how that works.
