I'm not dumb by any means but I have a lot of trouble with standardized tests. I'm so unbelievably scared to take the Praxis exams. How bad are they? I looked over some sample tests and I didn't understand most of it! I have a 3.92 GPA but I truthfully don't know if I will be able to pass the Praxis tests!! :( :(
Advice please!!

There are many many PRAXIS tests. I found the PRAXIS I very easy, and never understood why so many people failed it. But if you truely have problems taking tests, you might have difficulty. I'm assuming that you're in college; you need to talk to your advisor about this. He/she might be able to direct you to someone who can help you with the layout and language of the test. Also, don't just look at the ETS tests, get a book about the test. I used Barron, and I was very satisfied. Good luck!

1)This really depends on your subject area. I took the Social Studies test and scored a 185, and my GPA is only a 3.2. When I took it, I found that most people finished with lots of time to spare. Basically, take your time and don't rush.
2)This also depends on your state. Virgina has the highest PRAXIS cut-off scores in the nation. I read that if Virginia's standard applied to every state, less then 2/3 of test takers would pass the PRAXIS II.
Good luck, and don't rush it.
