There are many alternatives in English although why you object to "hello" I have no idea. Try "hallo" or "hullo" or the original "hollo". All are acceptable variations.
If you are going to object to "hell" being in a word you had better not go looking for shells, grow hellebores, swim across the Hellespont like Lord Byron or study things Hellenic.

There are so many words which in between have a word, that may not be good.
like illuminate starts as ..ill.
Even a word like kick-back, has entirely a different meaning.
You cannot pick something in between and form a word that u dont like!
In hindi hello means "move".
Say "hi" but pronounce as HAI.
