I just got an Ipod nano over the holidays and it loses battery so fast! Anyway to control that?

Set the backlight to turn off after just a few seconds.
Make sure you turn the iPod off when not in use.
Make sure the iPod is in sleep mode when charging it.
Charge the iPod until it's full (this will maximize battery life).

Use the following chart to determine how much play time you should get on a charge: http://ipodbatteryfaq.com/ipodbatteryandpower.html

How long your backlight comes on will affect your ipod play time because the backlight "burns" a lot of electricity.

Turn off the internal "clicker." This only uses up electricity; it's not a useful or necessary feature.

Just remember to keep the batery always charged, I don't know why, but I haven't shut my cell off for over a year. ( I sometimes shut them off for 5 minutes, but only once every two or five months) and the battery is just as good.
