My sister-in-law is from Saudi Arabia and when I went to visit her and my brother we went to a local restaurant. I couldn't read the menu and she was going to order for me, but I told her I would take my chances and just pick something. When my meal came it looked like steak, but it was really soft...it was actually pretty good...tasted like A1 and mashed potatoes mixed together. When I finished, by sister-in-law told me that I had just enjoyed a Silver Back Gorilla Pancreas....messed up man.

Ive eaten snake, cooked in the open flames. I cant say I would eat it again, they are a protected species however this one was very close to camp, but I didnt actually dislike it, it tasted a bit fishy/chickeny, cant really describe it any other way. Oh by the way I ate it on a dare!

Snail soup and Rabbit... and I WOULD NEVER EVER EVER EAT NEITHER ONE AGAIN. I was a kid so my mom thought it his her duty to influence our tastes and enlighten us by providing us with different culture foods. Seeing that snail soup is popular in Barcelona she felt obligated to feed us that crap. Anyways I cant remember what that soup tasted like but I know the rabbit I didnt like and I didnt know was rabbit till recently... and I have a pet rabbit just thinking about eating a lil rabbit makes me almost cry! They are the most cuddly pets ever amongs dogs... damn them fur loving assholes!
Also my family tricked me to eating this breakfast dish that contained liquid, cow eyes brains tounge and so on so forth and you know what it actually tasted good...UNTIL I FOUND OUT WHAT THE STUFF WAS and I puked it so I wouldnt eat it good but it did not taste bad. I just couldnt imagen eating those things no matter what the taste.

durian (a type of star fruit). Its a delicacy in southern asia. It smells like rotting flesh and makes most people vomit the first time they taste it. It is illegal to take it into most hotels in Singapore as its smell is very pungent and can effect people from a long way away. It sweats out of you and stinks when you arent used to it. Once you have eaten it 4 or 5 times its taste changes to you and it is the most delicious taste you could imagine, hard to explain though but to get it down once you have to endure the smell of rotting flesh..
Interesting fact about it: people hunt them at night, you have to get them just as they fall off the tree (at night). Many people get in lots of trouble poaching them and they are very expensive...fun to break into a field and steal em tho..i did it with some locals while i lived in SG for a dare.

Frog legs were good, and tasted a little like chicken.
Pork brains were disgusting, but I wondered what they tasted like.
The numerous small flying things I ate while riding a motorcycle were particularly disgusting and eaten by accident.

I ate a pig's ear from a corner store in Chicago. It wasn't bad, a bit crunchy, but I could just see the little pig flopping his ear around so it kinda made me naseous but I had to finish it b/c the really nice old lady was smiling at me waiting for my answer on how it tasted.

BBQ beaver, rattlesnake, chitlins (pig intestines). Beaver was good, had decent sauce on it, I'd eat it again. Snake was bland, cooked it on a camping trip, probably would have been better if cooked properly. Chitlins were bland, wouldn't break my leg getting to the table to eat them again, these were boiled but I would like to try some fried. I hear those are better to most people. I'll eat about any kind of meat.

I ate deer meat once because my father-in-law had murdered the deer. I was a newlywed and I didn't care anyway!! It's strange how people can admit things on here that they never thought they would or that they would even remember!! (it tasted terrible!!) Shame on me!! I would never do that now!!
