I live in Texas and its a great place to live. I know on tv's they make it seem like its some redneck back of the woods place where texas chainsaw massacres occur but that only happens on tv.
Most Texans are very nice and we care about the environment and its got great view. We love football, we are openminded to all kinds of food, people, cultures, religion and we love beer ;-)
Remember the saying dont judge a book by its cover! Visit Texas and if you like it thats fine.. if you dont thats fine too but at least then you've visited the state before you actually judge it.
I know I dont speak for all Texans but thats is just my opinion. Anyways, take care and have fun!

I live in San Antonio Texas, and I have for the last 15 years, and I like it! I have lots of friends, and there is always something to do, not that far from the ocean, mountains, or for that matter, the desert. I have been healthier since Ive moved here, since the cold never agreed with me up north. I do miss the snow at times but other than that I cant complain. People here are always willing to help you, and for the most part are very friendly. Its not perfect, but then again what place is?

No. I was born inTexas and it's the only place I want to live. I've lived in Calif. before and visited other states but Texas is the only place for me. I don't need to be paid to live here but I would have to be paid to move to another state. Don't know if anyone has enough money to get me to move. As they say, the weather changes each hour. This is what makes it interesting. If the weather was the same everyday, you'd get bored.

Sure...... It depends on what prtn of Texas you are talking about too. I would not live in SW Texas..... not much there but desert sand and rocks. Now if it was in the Dallas area Id like that. Or even near the coast.

Only the Hill Country Area. How much are you paying? And I guess it depends where you are stuck living now! I live at the beach and I am not moving but would do the hill country if the price was right.
