NO, the smartest usually means there are more resources for that person to learn from. Maybe a poor child only had a dictionary to read growing up... If her mom read to her each night from that book and then as she got older and learned to read she could be smart if she wanted to read the dictionary.

If you mean smart by IQ then I don't think so. When I drive thru rich neighborhoods I don't necessarily think every car I am passing has an Einstein behind the wheel.

No, what about the guy who started the "Girls gone Wild" videos? He is rich, rich, rich and the only smarts he has is how to hold a camera and market movies. On the other hand Bill Gates is pretty smart...I guess it depends how you got rich. Paris Hilton is rich and she is dumber then a chair. So the answer to your question...nope!

some wealthy may be 'smart' in certain areas, but they are dumb in the things that matter the most, like common sense and human compassion.
Of course im not generalizing ALL wealthy, but a good portion that I've seen.
I'm also certain most don't have a soul. They just love the smell of $$$$$
