I had two fancy female mice together for several months. The dominant mouse died. A few days later, I got another female fancy mouse and introduced her in the habitat after throughally cleaning it. The older mouse who has always been submissive has been picking on the new little female. I don't know if I should let them work it out a day or two or if I should get the new mouse out. Is she in danger of being killed or is this bit of picking on normal?

It is normal. Believe it or not, the females are the more aggressive of the gender with mice. Your mouse is picking on the other one because it is full of new smells and it doesn't recognize it. Keep an eye on them. See if they can work it out by the next 2 days, or get separate cages. She is possibly in danger of being killed if the mean one never stops. It is normal, but it's not safe for either one. If the picked on one gets pushed enough, she may fight back. Then both of your mice may be injured.

a little bit of picking on is normal but if it get violent then you should remove her. first off you should have introduced them in a nutral location not the cage that the older female has lived in as no matter how thuroughly you clean it it is still her's. she is establishing her role as the dominant mouse since she is no longer in the submissive position to hte other mouse.
