Hi I am talking about the apartment lease here. I am paying quite a big amount for rent of my apartment. Information on negotiation in rent , after signing the lease and staying in an apartment for sometime, is expected. This pretty much leads the discussion into negotiation of apartment rent. Please share your experience if you have gone through this.

If I understand you, it sounds like you think you're paying too much for rent. You can ask the landlord to re-negotiate, but don't count on it. You signed the lease, which is a legally enforceable document stating that you PROMISE to pay the stated amount. In order for you to get the landlord to renegotiate, you'll either have to appeal to his good nature, or give him something of high enough value that it's in his own best interest to renegotiate.

Now, since he signed a lease with you for what may be an exorbitant amount, he may not have a good nature. The other option would probably cost you even more than the lease payments.

I'd say you can try to renegotiate, but you're probably stuck.

Once you sign the lease, you stand very little chance of negotiating a lower rent. But once the lease is due to be renewed, you may be able to negotiate with the landlord. Whether they are willing depends on if they have a lot of vacancies or a waiting list.

negotiation IS possible, but thats why you have a lease. TO LOCK eachother in. depends on the landlord, but once you open it up to being changed at all.....beware.
